Hey team.

I hope you had a lovely summer.

Parliament is back, and they're talking devolution.

MPs debate the government's plans to introduce strategic authorities, a new tier of local government. It also includes the Community Right to Buy, giving local people a first shot at buying community assets before large companies are allowed to bid.

On Thursday, MPs debate Lords amendments to... Lords reform.

The upper house made a few changes to the Hereditary Peers Bill, including allowing existing ones to stay, rather than booting them out immediately.

And Wednesday is an Opposition Day.

It's a chance for an opposition party to set the agenda. The topic is still TBC.

Until next week. In the meantime, feel free to tweet me, or just reply to this email.
